Maritime Picture Gallery 2020 – 2024

At the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic I started to make small studies of ships and related ocean going scenes on discarded tin, either cut open, scrapped away paint tubes or salvaged metal. I have mounted these little paintings on black matte board and framed them with inexpensive frames picked-up at flea markets and discount shops. Together they form an on-going small-scale picture gallery, inspired by the tradition of genre painting collections. My version is modest, but aims to cast the subjects in a new light.
